BOOK 7
DONT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU DONT WANT THIS FANTASTIC BOOK TO BE REVEALED!
Okay, So first off i gotta say... i absolutely loved this book, any die-hard Harry Potter fan would love it. But there are quirks about it that I just have to discus =]
I thought that the book jumped around alot, I was a bit confused, which is understandable because it was not the normal Harry Potter book layout we're used to. The go to hogwarts, run into some weird mishaps, face voldemort... win then go home kind of deal.
I loved how the trio worked out kreacher and his twisted personality.
I LOVE HOW SNAPE TURNED OUT TO BE GOOD! oh my gosh that was the major turning point in the book when i started jumping up and down. I was so set that he was bad, I didnt even consider it a possibility that he could really be good. I nearly cried when voldemort killed him. I gained so much remorse when I found out he was doing everything for Lily Potter because he loved her. Although a lost cause, i thought it was touching how he kept his promise through all those years.
Dumbledore's death, hmm that worked its way out. Im satisfied.
The deathly hallows... wth. im so confused on that plot line, it popped into the story randomly and started taking over the book. I know voldemort was going to try to get them to be 'death' and have loads of power... but was that it? okay. moving on. *correction see bottom of scroll box**
I thought it was a tad corney how harry turned out to be the LAST horcrux. It was needed though, dont get me wrong. Rather, i think it was corney how it was presented, it kind of reminded of a Christmas Carol how its like, 'you choose your destiny' sort of thing, but besides that... awesome.
LASTLY!
I LOVED THE EPILOGUE I was squeeling with joy as I read it. All my Cannon's came true. So I can now stick my tongue out to all those non-believers. I also thought it was the cutest thing how their children were named after their parents and dumbledore... I nearly cried because it was so touching. =] im a freak i know.
a comment from tinasdfjklxre that i found useful because i hadnt quite pieced the whole story together when i was writing this section. =] put in simple terms.. THANKS::
Voldemort was never after The Deathly Hallows, he only wanted the elder wand so that he could defeat harry. I believe that he never even know that they were real, this is explained in the book in when it talks about him making the stone into a horcrux. Voldemort didn't know that it was one of three and that if he had all three he would be master of death. The reason that they were put in the randomly is because Dumbledore thought that if harry knew about them he would seek them for power, which was Dumbledore's weakness. He thought that if he let him find it out then he would try to get them so that he can beat voldemort and not for the wrong reason like Dumbledore was going to do.
OOTP MOVIE!
DONT READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU WANT THE 5th MOVIE REVEALED
Casting...
I LOVED..
Bellatrix Lestrange, she was perfectly casted.
Umbridge, I hated her guts which is a good thing, because if we didnt then I'd be PISSED
Kreacher, perfectly CGI'd =]
Voldemort, completely freaky as usual
I DIDNT LIKE
Tonks, she just didnt feel right in the cast.
What happened with the Death Eater and Dementor costumes... they did a complete 180... in the department of mysteries i was like who the heck are those people.
I didnt like how they didnt show how MYSTERIOUS the department of mysteries really was. It just seemed odd... whatever happened to the circular room with tons of doors to choose from. It didnt even seem like a chase.
ALSO i thought the 5th was where Ron joined the quidditch team. hmf.
I also didnt like how Sirius was killed, Bellatrix did not kill him with the killing curse, she rather cursed him and he fell. But this movie did kill the 'is Sirius still alive' obsession once and for all.
